Cuenca (Santa Ana de los Ríos de Cuenca) is a city in southern Ecuador’s Andes mountains. It's known for its Tomebamba River waterfront and handicrafts including Panama hats. Its central plaza, Parque Calderón, is home to the blue-domed Catedral Nueva and the 16th-century Catedral Vieja, now a religious museum. The Museo y Parque Arqueológico Pumapungo displays ruins and artifacts from the Incan city of Tomebamba. Population: 414,000 View City Details
In just about 15 minutes from the center of Cuenca's historical city center this large well decorated apartment is situated inside a gated community. The whole house is spacious and furnished well. The bedroom is clean and modern. It comes with a double bed, large closet and a TV set. The neighborhood is safe and quiet with bus routes and taxi service nearby, as well as grocery stores, restaurants, pharmacies, etc. Wifi connection is strong throughout the house. There is a separate reading area and storage space. Car parking is available. The rent includes full use of the house, electricity, gas, water, high-speed Internet, Cable TV and cleaning of common areas once a week.
The address for the house is Lorenzo Piedra 9-63 (entre Juan Bautista Vasquez y Pichincha). From the Cuenca bus station it is best to take a taxi or Uber to the house. The taxi will probably cost around $2 or $2.50. I can offer to meet the guests at the station for a charge $8.
